עדי נודל, סטודנטית לתואר  PhD בפקולטה לחקלאות, האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים

עדי חוקרת את צמח המורינגה המכונפת כמזון-על (SUPER-FOOD)
ואת פעילות המיצוי שלו לשיפור מצבי סכרת.

עדי נודל  עמדה בקריטריונים של הקרן: ציונים טובים בלמודים האקדמאיים,
ממצאים ראשוניים המורים כי שיטות המחקר יובילו לממצאים חשובים.
המחקר של עדי חשוב לערבה מאחר והוא קשור לגידול חדש המיועד לפיתוח.

 

שחם מגידיש, סטודנט לתואר  MSc במכון וולקני, מנהל המחקר החקלאי

שחם חוקר את התהליכים המובילים להקדמת פריחה
ולחנטה יעילה במנגו בחורף וליצירת פרי איכותי מחוץ לעונה.

שחם עמד בקריטריונים של הקרן: ציונים טובים בלמודים האקדמאיים,
תכנית מחקר ברורה וממצאים ראשוניים המורים כי שיטות המחקר יאפשרו לו להגיע
למסקנות חשובות ורלבנטיות מאד לגידול מנגו המתפתח בערבה.

יהודה רוט, סטודנט לתואר MSc בפקולטה לחקלאות, האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים

יהודה חוקר כיצד מתפתחת הפטרייה אספרגילוס הגורמת למחלת עובש שחור בתמרים.

יהודה רוט עמד בקריטריונים של הקרן: ציונים טובים בלמודים האקדמאיים,
תכנית מחקר ברורה וממצאים ראשוניים המלמדים באיזה שלב הפטרייה מתבססת בתמר.
מידע זה מאד חשוב לחקלאים בערבה.

Jingbo Zhen, Ph.D. student at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Jingbo Zhen is studying the feedback between water and carbon balances
in date palms under different irrigation and fruit load regimes.
Palm trees are an important crop in the Arava area.

Jingbo Zhen is eligible for the fund’s parameters: his academic achievements are excellent.
The methods and the preliminary results suggest that his research will be very fruitful.
The outcome of his results will contribute to our decisions in designing protocols for the Arava growers.

 

Sneha Manda, Ph.D. student at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Dead Sea and Arava Science Center

Sneha Manda is studying the anomalies of Mercury in the Arava area
as a tool to asses the fingerprint of the late Cretaceous Deccan Volcanism
in the Southern Tethys during the biggest mass extinction event in Earth history.
This information will be integrated with changes in the population of ancient marine
organisms, foraminifera, to track their relation to climate changes.

Sneha Manda is eligible for the fund’s parameters: her academic achievements are excellent,
and the research is performed in the Arava area.
The information from her research will have edit value to the "tourism knowledge" that is developing in the Arava.

 

Trang Thu Le, M.Sc. student at Tel Aviv University and AICAT in the Arava

Trang Thu Le is studying the relationship between yield and root development of sweet pepper (Capsicum annum).

Trang Thu Le is eligible for the fund`s parameters: her academic achievements are excellent.
The methods and preliminary results suggest that her research will be very fruitful.

The outcome of her results will have an impact on the protocol designed
to achieve better and profitable yields of sweet pepper in the Arava area.
